Hi

My name is Bill and I live in San Francisco in an apartment with palm trees outside of it.

I work at Apple trying to restore a sense of childlike wonder to the lives of our customers, or at least helping to make sure they always enjoy using our products. Getting to work on things that make people happy and help them accomplish incredible things wakes me up in the morning and occasionally keeps me up late into the night. I consider myself lucky to have a job that I'd do for free, but also appreciate that there is more to life than one's career.

When I'm not working, I like to listen to a variety of live and recorded music, hide out in bookstores, and spend time out with friends or alone, enjoying the outdoors whether I am in a forest of trees or a jungle of buildings. My belief is that we only get one shot at life, and that everything is ephemeral. In our time here, we should make the best of our numbered days by touching the lives of as many people, seeing as many places, and experiencing as many things as we can, while taking the time to relish the the relationships, destinations, and interactions that we hold most dear.

I like people who can see the humor in the thing we call life, who give back the extra change when the checkout person gives too much, and who literally take the time to smell the roses much more than those who are selfish, overly inhibited, or who do not appreciate the world outside their head.

Need-to-Know Information:

My Myers-Briggs personality type is ENTJ. I like to turn chaos into order, or at least controlled chaos.
I in fact do like long walks on the beach. I would go so far as to say that I dislike short walks on the beach.
If I catch a bug in my home, I release it outside. Unless it's a mosquito. Screw them and the puddle they hatched in.
I can do a number of cartoon and animal voices, and can throw playing cards somewhat far. Everyone needs a useless talent. Or two.
Sometimes I'm concise. However, on many occasions, I am not particularly concise at all, and could go so far as to be accused of being verbose.
I should probably be in bed, irrespective of when I wrote this or when you read it.
